The process for awarding 3 GW of renewable contracts inrnSpain moved a step closer January 20 with comments onrnthe proposed auction system returned to the Ministry ofrnEnergy, Tourism and the Digital Agenda (Minetad).rnWith the ministry targeting Q1 for the tender, the market isrnawaiting further details with a mixture of anticipation andrntrepidation. What is understood through draft regulation isrnthat the auction is to be technology-neutral and will be heldrnunder the umbrella of royal decree RD 413/2014, the policyrncurrently regulating Spain’s renewables’ market.
