BNetzA is seeking to award 800 MW in a first onshore wind tender, the German network operator said March 9. The capacity is to be awarded pay-as-cleared. Bids are due by May 2 with a ceiling price of €70/MWh. Projects in the so-called grid expansion zone in northern Germany are limited to 258 MW in this round. The network here is already overloaded with wind generation.
