Stadtwerke Trier is planning to build a 300 MW pumped storage power plant on the River Mosel, the company said on its website April 14. The facility would have two pools and hold 6 million cubic meters of water, the company said. The utility said its managers were holding discussions with the local community and with companies to determine the feasibility of the project. Initial findings suggested the project was promising.
