German forward power prices remained bearish into October, trading just above post-Fukushima-lows with little recovery on the prompt, although a temporary drop in wind output and reduced nuclear availability pushed day-ahead prices to a seven-week-high in week 41. "I can't see anything at the moment that could encourage the bulls to come out - it's getting windy but temperatures will stay around normal, so there is no pressure on demand," a trader said.
