Vattenfall has dropped its plans to build up to 3,000 MW of new capacity in Poland, the head of Vattenfall Poland, Jacek Piekacz, said October 8. "Large projects in Poland such as Opalenie and Pulawy will not be carried out by Vattenfall. We will look for an investor for Opalenie, which would enable this investment to continue," Piekacz told journalists in Warsaw.
