National governments from the EU's 27 member states must put in place clear regulatory frameworks for carbon capture and storage projects and be prepared to provide more funding to ensure that both a first wave of demonstration projects take off and there is widespread deployment beyond that. These were among the conclusions in an updated Strategic Deployment Document published by the EU's Zero Emissions Platform on October 13.
