Suffolk County Council is looking to set up a framework agreement for ground-based solar photovoltaic plants on its closed landfill sites.rnThe sites are to be made available to between four and six solar PV developers. The developers would build PV plants on the land and collect the feed-in tariff offered under the government's subsidy scheme. The plants would remain the property of the contractor, while the council would receive the electricity generated plus an annual fee from the contractor. The agreement would last for four years.
