Will it be third time lucky for Spain's Gas Natural? After two failed takeover attempts of Iberdrola in 2003 and Endesa in 2005, the country's gas leader is within reach of the next-best outcome - acquisition of Spain's third power company Union Fenosa, resulting in the creation of a major new integrated energy utility in Iberia.rnGas Natural on July 30 signed an accord with Spain's biggest construction and services group ACS to buy its majority 45.3% stake in Union Fenosa for €16.75 billion in cash, at €18.33 per share.
