PiE's plant tracker shows a number of Swiss gas-fired plants on hold, but a new high-level effort to clear the way for these projects could yet see them bridge the Swiss system across a potential supply shortage before new reactors are ready.rnEnergy minister Moritz Leuenberger is expected to propose a change in the law on compensation for CO2 emissions to his cabinet colleagues before the end of the year. A federal decree adopted by parliament requiring compensation of 70% of emissions at home and 30% abroad, thus rendering CCGTs economically unfeasible, will be reviewed in the new session of parliament. Leuenberger would like the ratio to be set at 50-50.
