Most Western power day-ahead prices weakened Monday, although the Palo Verde on-peak market inched higher. SP15 on-peak day-ahead slipped $1.25 to trade in the mid-$40s/ MWh on the Intercontinental Exchange as a result of lower demand. Demand in the California Independent System Operator footprint is projected to peak at 28.9 GW Tuesday, compared with a peak of 30.1 GW on Monday, according to the grid operator.
