Next-day power prices in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas footprint were set to rise Friday, despite pressure from weaker demand, as high wind generation was expected to dial down sharply over the weekend through early next week. On Intercontinental Exchange, North Hub next-day on-peak was valued in the mid-$30s/MWh, about $2 above Thursday’s settlement for Friday delivery.
