The US oil and gas sector appears to be lagging in the transition to aclean energy economy, former Obama-era Energy Secretary ErnestMoniz said March 3 at the CERAWeek by IHS Markit conference.But he was optimistic the sector would put its skill set to work inhelping bring about pragmatic solutions to deep decarbonization.Moniz, along with OGCI Climate Investments CEO PratimaRangarajan, shared that they worried at the outset of the coronaviruspandemic that climate issues would fall by the wayside. Yet, morecountries and companies are talking about and allocating capitaltoward net-zero emissions targets than ever before, they agreed.
