US West Coast spot power prices saw little movement in trading Tuesday as regional demand is expected to fall, despite temperatures in the region seeing little to no increase. Mid-Columbia day-ahead on-peak was unchanged Tuesday, trading around $21.75/MWh for Wednesday delivery on Intercontinental Exchange. Mid-Columbia day-ahead off-peak added about $2 to trade around $20.25. Mid-C balance-of-the-month on-peak was valued around $23/MWh while balance-month off-peak was valued around $20.75/MWh. Portland high temperatures are forecast to rise several degrees to the low 50s on Wednesday, above the seasonal high of 47, according to data from CustomWeather.
