US West power forward markets were mostly down Friday as the NYMEX prompt-month contract was up less than 1 cent to around $3.209/MMBtu on the Intercontinental Exchange. In the Northwest, Mid-C on-peak December dropped more than 50 cents in the low $30s/MWh, nearly steady with the December 2016 average in November 2016. The package reached an all-time low of $29.40/MWh in early October and had been on the rise since reaching a month-high of $34.40/MWh in early November, but has been on the decline the last several days. On-peak January fell $1 to the low $30s/MWh, after rising as high as $31.85/MWh earlier in the week, the highest level since May.
