Aquarius Platinum’s total production of n4E PGMs (platinum, palladium, rhodium nand gold) for the year to June 30 fell to nfell to 836,795 oz from 847,283 oz the nprevious year, largely due to the impact of nthe closure of the Everest mine in 2009, nthe South African miner said Thursday. nEverest remained closed for much of the n2010 financial year but was reopened nahead of schedule in the final quarter and ncontributed 8,496 oz. Everest is expected nto ramp up rapidly in 2011. Kroondal, the ncompany’s main mine, and Marikana, both nalso located in South Africa, produced nless than in financial year 2009 due to na two-week strike in August 2009.
