Premiums for primary aluminium exported nto Japan in the fourth quarter settled at n$116/mt, $117/mt and 118/mt plus nLondon Metal Exchange CIF main Japanese nports, down from $120-122/mt for the nprevious quarter, according to Platts nassessments. There were 22 Q4 contract nsettlements reported from a total of 12 nJapanese consumers and trading houses, nand two global producers. Nine were at n$116/mt plus LME CIF, nine at $117mt, three at $118/mt, and one at $115mt. The contracts were for over 500 mtmonth shipments of Good Western grade nprimary aluminium ingot, sows or T-bars ndelivered to main ports of Yokohama, nNagoya or Osaka in the fourth quarter.
