摘要

This issue contains nine articles which explore significant topics related to police management and operations. Our authors examine several perceptions of policing, including job satisfaction among officers and public attitudes towards the police. In addition to these papers, the issue includes examinations of alcohol use among police, and special enforcement problems including family group conferences, organised crime, and the prevalence of handgun permits. The papers discuss policing in North America, Europe, and Asia. One paper describes policing on native American lands in the USA. We are quite pleased with the mix of topics and settings covered in this issue of the iournal.
