As environmentally friendly perspectives become more the accepted standard these days, growing cities and towns are exploring ways to incorporate sustainable, environmentally-sensitive and energy-efficient products and technologies into the infrastructure and the operational profile of their communities. One such example of a new technology using green products is an innovative spiral-wound technology system that can be used to rehabilitate damaged pipes or to rebuild existing pipelines. One key to the slip-lining process' environmental angle is that installation takes place from inside the existing manhole structures, eliminating the need for any excavation. Environmental impact is further lessened by reducing the need for a sewer bypass. The improvements of HVAC and plumbing systems not only reduce consumption, but also increase efficiency and ultimately save money. The reuse of warehouses and other past-their-prime locations have developed into vibrant new social, residential and commercial hubs of activity that has revitalized urban centers everywhere.
