The Governor's Regulatory Review Council has approved new standards for the protection of surface water quality in the state. Under the new standards, two additional water bodies have been identified as Outstanding Arizona Waters.The first, Fossil Creek, is a major tributary of the Verde River and serves as the boundary between Gila and Yavapai counties. The second, Davidson Canyon, is a tributary of Cienega Creek in Pima County.
