Anyone applying for a permit, license, certification or variance for an environmental program in Alabama faces increased costs.The Alabama Department of Environmental Management recently proposed fee revisions to reflect a 10.5 percent increase across the board, with exceptions. For instance, the well driller's license fee is set at $200. Other exceptions include air, underground injection control and hazardous waste program fees.
