Port authorities should embrace technologyand strive to become ecosystem orchestrators,fostering cooperation, improvingefficiencies and boosting sustainabilityas a result.Managing the port call process, coordinationamong all parties involved is crucial.There are multiple actors involved in the process— the terminal, pilots, port authority,maritime authority, stevedores, shipping linesand others. Coordinating so many parties hasin the past, been challenging. Over the pastdecade, however, we have seen technologymake an enormous contribution to improvingport call efficiency in this respect.
