There was great interest in the liquefied natural gas (LNG)-fuelled vessels working group from port representatives attending the IAPH World Ports Conference in Los Angeles in May, according to the group's chairTessa Major. "Seventeen ports expressed an interest in finding out more about LNG as a fuel and are being sent details of the issues we're tackling in the working group," Major told P&H, adding that she was keen to hear from other ports interested in joining the dialogue on using LNG.
