摘要

The paper investigates the inductive interference caused by ACnelectric traction lines to nearby buried telecommunication cables.nMeasurements according to the directives of the InternationalnTelecommunication Union (ITU) and calculations using the finite elementnmethod (FEM) are presented for a real system. This system consists of annAC electric traction line of the Greek Railways Organization and anburied cable of the Greek Telecommunications Organization. Finally, annanalysis concerning the most important operational parameters inndetermining electric traction line influence is presented. Suchnparameters are the separation distance between the electric tractionnline and the buried telecommunication cable, the earth resistivity asnwell as the number and the material of the mitigation wires
