A three-phase equivalent circuit model is developed to modelnadjustable speed drives (ASD) for power system harmonic analysis. Thenvalidity and accuracy of the model were verified by comparing simulationnresults with lab test results. Sensitivity studies are then conducted tondetermine the key factors affecting the harmonic characteristics ofnASDs. Guidelines on modelling ASDs for harmonic distortion assessmentnare developed based on the results
