1. Theoretical research and commercial experience of hydraulic transportation of soils in a mode of partial silting of the sludge pipeline confirm the possibility and high efficiency of this method: the specific consumption of energy for the transportation of 1m~3 soil is reduced by up to 30%, the abrasive of the pipes is diminished, and feed becomes more uniform. 2. The optimum thickness of the silted layer may range between 12 and 30%. 3. Hydraulic transportation of fine-grained soils at a critical rate requires an increase in the diameter of the sludge pipeline in order to organize a silting layer. 4. Commercial use of the method will require equipping the dredge ship with a set of advanced control instrumentation for controlling the thickness of the deposited layer in the pipes. 5. It is expedient to continue the research in hydraulic transport of soils under the conditions of partial silting of sludge pipelines.
