摘要

1. The mean length of the sedimentation paths of homogeneous suspended particles in a slowly moving turbulent flow is independent of the slope of the bottom in the absence of flow separation from the bottom, other conditions being equal. 2. There is reason to develop theoretical methods for determining the requisite working length of desilt basins and perform practical calculations under the assumption that the surface of the deposited silt is horizontal and the motion of the flow is uniform.
