The Scottish Executive (SE) has set out its priorities for the next Parliamentary session. In a statement issued earlier this month, the SE said that it plans to consult on: 1. proposals regarding the introduction of legislation to tackle the problem of climate change, establishing mandatory targets and monitoring arrangements to reduce Scotland's emissions by 80% by 2050 and putting in place a framework within which Scottish industries can invest with certainty in low-carbon technologies.
