Ofgem has voiced concerns at the government's plans to change the Renewables Obligation (RO).rnIn its submission~* to the current consultation on the RO, the regulator says that the government's plan to provide extra support for different technologies through banding "has fundamentally changed the nature of the scheme" and warns that attempts to encourage uneconomic technologies could have a "detrimental effect on consumers". It warns that it will be very hard to get banding levels rights.
