摘要

The massive changes to the energy sector over the last decade or so have had a knock-on impact for the academic community. Academics have had to quickly adapt to a sector where the pace of change has undergone a step-change. Relatively few have managed to adapt and excel in the new world as well as Professor David Newbery who has always offered a respected independent critique of the power sector - a view that often sits uncomfortably with companies, regulators and government officials alike. Dr Dominic Maclaine asked him about his assessment of the UK electricity experiment and the issues facing the sector over the coming years.
