摘要

This paper proposes a new algorithm which is robust against numerical errors, for the interference calculation of polyhedral solids. The algorithm consists of representing symbolically the edge-face intersection points in terms of face names and determining the connection of intersection lines by symbolic calculation to obtain intersection loops. Numerical errors and degenerate cases are treated by a method called clustering of the symbols for the edge-face intersection points.
