The majority of web users interactwith the surface web - the networks ofwebpages that are easily accessible andfound by using common internet searchengines. These have familiar domainsincluding .com and .com.au.Extending beyond this is the deep web,which is often confused with the darkweb. The deep web contains websitesthat are not indexed (searched) byinternet search engines. This includeswebsites that are hidden behindsecurity and passwords, such asonline banking, and websites behindpaywalls such as newspapers and videostreaming.
