摘要

Recent years have witnessed a certain progress in the development of Russian agriculture. Output rose by 3.6 percent in 2006, by 3.2 percent in 2007, and by almost 10 percent in 2008. Grain exports also increased. But the picture undergoes a striking change when we use comparative intersectoral, macroeconomic, and international indicators or absolute and relative parameters that reflect the relations of the agrarian sector with its partners in the agro-food complex, with middlemen, with the state, and with the fiscal, credit-financial, and tax systems.
