摘要

Today's markets are dynamic structures that are influenced by a multitude of economic, political, and cultural factors. New products and services appear; business strategies are modified; new participants enter the market; and the rules of the game are rewritten. In order to follow how all this happens and the conflicts it engenders, we will analyze one segment of Russian markets connected with the operation of the retail trade system. Truly fundamental and fairly rapid changes can now be seen therein. A completely new competitive situation is emerging, accompanied by a forceful struggle over the limits of these markets.
