摘要

Macdonald Steels is a well-known author of books about the training of civil engineers, based on his long experience as an Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) regional training officer. This latest book has similarities to the other titles but, importantly, covers the latest ICE3000 series of documentation. The book covers the period between graduation and application for the professional review. The chapters are laid out to cover the 'attributes' that candidates are required to demonstrate at their review. The advice and recommendations are clear and candidates would do well to read a copy before preparing their application. All of the advice, throughout, is cross-referenced to the various membership guidance notes and documentation that form the basis of the judgements made by both sponsors and reviewers when an application is made.
