A new high pressure test rig will allow Endress+Hauser to verify complete instrument assemblies to customer specifications. The rig, installed at its headquarters in Greenwood, Ind., provides a 100 percent test indicating that a specific instrument can withstand the design process pressure, up to 15,000 psi. Certifying an entire instrument assembly that will be installed in process equipment such as high pressure boilers, reactors or catalytic crackers is important for customers in the oil-and-gas, chemical, power and energy industries. Engineering firms, end users and insurance companies have detailed and specific internal codes and specifications for the instruments.
