She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Management from Clemson University. Her research interest is in production/operation management and management information systems. Her work has appeared in the International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Business and Behavioral Science, and IEE: Manufacturing Engineer. J. WAYNE PATTERSON is a Professor of Industrial Management at Clemson University. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas and his B.S. and M.A. in business statistics from the University of Alabama. His research and teaching interests are in operations management with emphasis on the theory of constraints, quality management, and maintenance. His work has appeared in Decision Sciences, International Journal of Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, journal of Managerial Issues, Journal of Purchasing and Materials Management, Quality Progress, Production and Inventory Management Journal, Accounting Education, and other journals. LAWRENCE D. FREDENDALL received his MBA in Materials Logistics Management from Michigan State University in 1986. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Management from Michigan State University in 1991. He is currently an Associate Professor of Management at Clemson University and is teaching and conducting research on theory of constraints, supply chain management, and quality management. His most recent book published by The St. Lucie Press/APICS Series is titled Basics of Supply Chain Management. He has published research articles in Production and Inventory Management Journal, Journal of Operations Management, International Journal of Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research, Production and Operations Management, ATI: America's Textiles International, Journal of Managerial Issues and the Organization Development Journal. QIDONG CAO is an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods at the College of Business Administration, Winthrop University. Dr. Cao has published in journals such as International journal of Production Research, Computers and Operations Research, International Journal of Flexible Manufacturing Systems, and International journal of Operations and Quantitative Management. His current research interests include production scheduling, message encryption, statistical control charts, and supply chain management.;
