摘要

The incidence of tick-borne illnesses has skyrocketed in North America over the past 20 years. Simple preventive measures can minimize the risk of outdoor workers contracting these potentially dangerous infectious diseases. Once a tick bite has occurred, timely tick removal will minimize the risk of transmission of the bacteria or virus. Reducing the number of tick-borne work-related illnesses by applying simple prevention strategies is a win-win for employers and employees.
