摘要

These results indicate that the diverse activities of welding of aluminium in the shipbuilding environment, as described in this article, posed a low risk of oxygen deficiency relative to the regulatory limit of 19.5%, and a very low risk of physiological oxygen deficiency relative to maintaining 90% saturation of hemoglobin at a concentration of 14% oxygen at sea level. The results also support routine monitoring for oxygen in this environment given the deliberate loss of containment of argon during welding and the unintended loss due to leakage and other mishaps.
