UL has launched an enhanced version of its certification mark and badge system. According to UL, the revised mark enables companies to bundle multiple certifications for multiple geographies into a single mark by including a unique identifier that provides details on the scope of a particular product's certification. UL says this allows for growth and inclusion of new types of certifications, and provides enhanced mark intelligence and traceabil-ity for the future. As part of the mark system, the certification badge provides an optimized way for companies to promote compliance in the marketplace through use on marketing, advertising and packaging materials.
