CosmiCube, an application developer, has launched SF Heroes, a free mobile app that uses game mechanics to educate, motivate and reward people for learning about how to be prepared for emergencies. Cre ated in partnership with the San Francisco Department of Emer gency Management (SFDEM), the app provides information about city resources that users may need to access in the event of a disaster. The application connects with Facebook, Twitter and other social channels where users can compete to earn badges.
