Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has created its first-ever Youth Preparedness Council, which includes a select group of youth leaders who will share ideas, experiences and solutions to help during disaster situations. According to FEMA, youth council members were nominated for their ability to represent the youth perspective on emergency preparedness and will be expected to relay information back to their communities.
