In all of the leadership principles, strategies and studies published in the last decade, have we somehow lost one of the most important? Today, we have leadership lessons, guidance and training on all sorts of principles except one: friendship. Around 300 B.C., Aristotle published a 10-chap-ter book on leadership. Two chapters were dedicated to the leadership principle of friendship—it was the only principle that garnered two chapters. But today, whether at the library or in a bookstore, I can't find a leadership book focused on friendship, or even a leadership book with a chapter about friendship.
