摘要

The role of an expert witness in X fire litigation cases has taken on increased emphasis in recent years. At the same time, the challenges to the admissibility of expert testimony have come under greater scrutiny. Hiring a competent expert to work on a case is only half the battle. Successfully presenting the expert's findings to convince a jury of the expert's conclusions is the real challenge. Unless the expert's findings can be successfully presented in court, the case will be lost. A true expert witness today possesses more than the technical skills to do the job. An effective expert witness knows how to present his/her findings in a courtroom so that his/her testimony will be admissible and persuasive.
