During the month of June, OSHA will conduct stakeholder meetings to help form a proposed rule for Injury and Illness Prevention Programs (I2P2).rnThe proposed rule for I2P2 would require employers to find and correct workplace hazards before any OSHA inspection identifies one or before an incident occurs. The new rule would require employers to identify and implement a program that miminimizes worker exposure to safety and health hazards. Under the rule, employees would also be given the chance to help develop and implement the plan.
