Association for Laboratory Automation (ALA), a multidisciplinary, nonprofit scientific society serving diverse industries and technology sectors, has launched LabAutopedia-a free online repository of reference and tutorial information covering all branches of the field of laboratory automation. Built by and for laboratory automation professionals, the online encyclopedia offers extensive knowledge to help better serve the diverse laboratory automation community. "LabAutopedia is a dynamic wiki that is all about contributorship," says ALA President Jim Sterling, Ph.D. "With a widely accessible base of information that has been vetted and refined by leading minds from the lab automation community, we believe LabAutopedia can and will play a significant role in accelerating the growth of our field."
