I was very unhappy to see the decision from the House of Delegates regarding the changes to professional membership criteria (Sept. 2007, p. 62). I had started talking to Terry Wilkinson, ASSE's director of member/region affairs, about this issue when Region VI was electing an interim regional vice president because one of the requirements to serve in this capacity is that the individual be a professional member.
