摘要

There are three main points to understand about noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). First, unlike other job-related injuries, NIHL causes no immediate pain or trauma, leaves no scars or bruises and is often unnoticed in its early stages. Second, damage accumulates over time and is permanent— there is no cure for hearing loss. Third—and most importantly—job-related noise-induced hearing loss is 100% preventable.
