With safety 4.0, OSH professionals can understand workplace risks in new and exciting ways. They will grasp the value in the complexity and quantity of incident reports and safety data. The tools the authors used in these examples are just some of the many ways that can help OSH professionals better understand workplace safety as part of their safety 4.0 program.Through converting the company's vast stores of data into useful information, the authors have gained confidence that they are identifying the biggest risks, and not getting distracted by the outliers or those few distracting incidents that might have otherwise absorbed time, attention and effort. With a clearly defined and well-conceived safety 4.0 strategy, the company is confident that it is focusing on the right customer concerns and maximizing improvement in customer satisfaction.
