However, the transportation and warehousing sector still has the sixth highest nonfatal occupational illness incidence rate and the fifth highest number of cases of all private industry sectors (Figure 1). To better understand injuries within this industry sector, Atlas Injury Prevention Solutions (Atlas) studied survey data collected from 102,749 truck drivers. The surveys were included as part of driver onboard computer training sessions, typically provided biannually. The surveys were delivered to a subset of Atlasclients served over a 10-year period (2008 through 2017), with an approximate 50% response rate.
