摘要

The paper is an extension to earlier PIV work published in Progress in Aerospace Science Vol. 27, pp. 237-265. 1990. DPIV (Digital Particle Image Velocimetry) measurements have been made at transonic speeds using a new method of both digitally capturing and visualising high speed flow-fields. It has provided a quantitative whole field image of the transonic flow. The area of interest for this test was of the wing/pylonacelle/inboard gully region of a 5.7% scale model wing and engine combination. The measurements show velocity and flow angle changes in this region, to a measurement accuracy of 4%, made at an optical stand off distance of 0.5 m.
